Blue Ridge Crossing is conveniently located at the intersections of Interstate 70, US 40 Highway and Blue Ridge Boulevard and has been considered one of Eastern Jackson County’s prime shopping locations since 1958.
Blue Ridge Crossing benefits from incredible visibility and accessibility with more than 135,000 vehicles passing the property daily. The trade area is one of the fastest growing, with a 2010 Census population of over 162,000 within a five-mile area and an average household income of more than $56,000 in a three-mile radius.

Opened in January of 2007, Blue Ridge Crossing has revitalized the area as a major shopping destination for this underserved, densely populated trade area. Anchored by a Wal-Mart SuperCenter and a Lowe’s Home Center, Blue Ridge Crossing features over 575,000 sf of retail space and restaurants in Phase I. Other major retailers include Applebee’s, McDonald’s, Starbucks, GNC, Mattress Firm, Radio Shack, T-Mobile and Firehouse Subs along with local and regional retailers.

Additionally, the property is located just two miles to the east of the Truman Sports Complex, which includes the Arrowhead and Kauffman Stadiums. Arrowhead Stadium was recently renovated in 2010 and is home to the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs. Kaufmann Stadium was renovated in 2008 and is home to the MLB’s Kansas City Royals. These stadiums attract both native Missourians and tourists to the area regularly.

Phase II of Blue Ridge Crossing, an 18 acre development in Kansas City, Missouri west of Phase I across Sterling Avenue is currently in development. Opportunities for anchors, junior anchors, in-line stores, restaurants and pad sites are still available.
